International (tech) PR – How do I build a functioning setup?

(Tech) start-ups and scale-ups grow at full speed, new markets are targeted, products and approaches have to be localized, but especially in the area of communication, brand strategy and PR, they are faced with the following task: How do I manage to implement a communication strategy in a new market that is just as successful as in the home market or other markets that have already been successfully developed?

How can the setup for this look like – both in-house and externally? Do I work with a large network agency or do I consciously curate boutique agencies in all markets? Why is a local partner so important? Do I coordinate them in-house or is one agency designated as the lead agency? What are the differences between the international media landscapes? The cost structures?

We want to approach these topics at the next Berlin PR regulars’ table from a practical perspective with many learnings – from the EMEA market but also beyond and a special focus on growth companies. We will also get direct feedback from the editorial side on what needs to be paid particular attention to when international companies expand their PR strategy to new markets.

The panel will feature Elaine Azlin, Head of Consumer PR at Omio, Lilly Berns, Senior Global PR Strategist at Vinted, Nadine Schimroszik, Technology Editor at Handelsblatt, and Kerstin Bock, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Openers.
